Custom Options

  • Wood Species - Choose form our many stock species and a variety of optional materials. All drawers are available in 1/2" and 5/8" thickness.
  • Drawer Bottoms - Maple bottoms are available in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" thicknesses. All other species and melamine are available in 1/4" and 1/2".
  • Top Edge Detail - View the variety of custom top edge details we have to offer.
  • Under-mount Hardware - We notch, drill, supply, and install under-mount hardware. We have new easy-to-use specifications to figure your drawer sizes for Blum Tandem and Hettich Quadro.
  • Angles, Curves, & Corners - The latest innovation from Western Dovetail is the addition of angled dovetails. Drawers can now be dovetailed at almost any angle and on curved fronts.
  • Pull-out Drawers - Check out tour many options for pull-outs, including: scooped fronts, tapered sides, and more great solutions for pull-outs.
  • File Drawers - Explicit instructions on how to lie out file drawers in a wide rage of applications with useful details.

Western Dovetail joined the early pioneers in the GREEN movement to become America's first FSC certified dovetail drawer company in 1998. Since the company began, a constant effort has been made to be responsible about the materials used and the waste that is generated. Many materials are available to make drawers that are certified meet FSC chain of custody requirements.


Drawer Tip

Standard drawers are made with the assumption that a drawer face will be added to the front and the back will not be seen. When finish is applied, the fronts and backs may have only a sealer coat and will not be sanded unless premium finish is selected.
